Nowadays, an average Google search brings up a minefield of low-quality, chinese-made clones that get the details all wrong — a minefield for anyone who hasn't properly done their homework.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt would take several years, but this working relationship would eventually evolve into the North Equipment brand and our exclusive \u0026amp; locally made gear using much of the same equipment and staff used by Adder in the 1980s...\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Webbing \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNiemoller saw the shortcomings of the 70s-era gear of South Africa. It was more suited for fighting in WW2 than it was against the fast-moving insurgents. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eArmed with a sewing machine in his bungalow room and all the fabrics, bits \u0026amp; bobs he could get, he designed a comfortable \u0026amp; applicable rig that could go long distances, quieter, with less repairs needed...\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAgility \u0026amp; Capacity\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJohann's design enhances comfort and felt weight for a high degree of athleticism under duress. The webbing was designed to carry as many of your essentials as possible without being bulky, since Recces would not have access to any kind of resupply infrastructure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTough as Nails\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere's nothing worse than relying on a field repair to limp you home. The Niemoller webbing was designed \u0026amp; recce-proven to last through the harshest conditions without letting them down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur rig has been made with 500D Cordura, but not NIR Compliant — true to the original, Recces \u003cem\u003ewanted to be\u003c\/em\u003e seen under NODs or IR light for nighttime pickup.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCareful consideration from Niemoller went into the choice of the buckles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey were intentionally picked for their ability to be easily opened \u0026amp; closed effortlessly with one hand and stay secure during high-intensity combat; evasion. And unlike metallic hardware, it'll never rust or corrode away.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003ePlease note for our newest batch (Q3 2025), the ammo pouch clips have been updated to be slightly larger than before. It was our first attempt at making proper chest-mounted equipment, taking a few notes from South Africa's successes with pattern 83: Velcro pouches for easy access to magazines, ITW fastex buckles, and light weight. We just made it a little more complicated because we're America.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe vest is constructed with a woodland cotton material, ITW Nexus Fastex buckles on the front, and a corset-style field repairable back (it literally uses paracord, which you could easily replace yourself). The shoulder harness is a padded slightly angled H harness with loops for routing radio cords\/antennas but also comes in handy for routing hydration if you're using a more modern pack\/carrier. Lastly, with an ALICE belt, you can loop it through the snapped loops on the bottom of the vest and even attach a M81 buttpack.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAntiquated? Yeah, a little bit.
